World Kindness Day!
November 13th is World Kindness Day! The holiday was started in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement. It is a great opportunity to teach your little ones about the importance of being kind to others, whether it's being kind to people right in your own home or community or being kind to others across the world.
As an elementary teacher, I love having my students create kindness artwork. Last year, students water-colored some of these kindness quotes that I hand-lettered on plain paper. We hung our posters around the school to remind others to be kind and to help brighten the days of other students!
Here are some examples of students working on their artwork!
And of course, a look at their finished artwork!
For World Kindness Day, if you are interested in painting or coloring your own kindness posters, you can download a copy of my hand-lettered posters using the link below!
We'd love to see your finished artwork! Be sure to post your artwork on social media and tag Box of Balloons so that we can share your finished product with others and spread kindness!
Enjoy!
