Hi, 

 

My name is Roxann Wruble.  I have lived in Johns Creek (formerly Alpharetta), GA, for 21 years with my husband, Tim.  We are both originally from Indiana and still have family there.  We are huge Indianapolis Colts fans!  We lived in Cincinnati, OH, for 11 years before moving to Georgia!  We have two grown children.  Our son, Grant, is 29 and is married to our beautiful daughter in law, Lindsey, and they have our first grandchild, Lilly, who is 8 months old!  Lilly is the joy in our lives!  Our daughter, Claire, is 25 and lives and works in Chicago.  We are a house divided as our son graduated from and played baseball for Georgia Tech and our daughter graduated from the University of Georgia!  Go Jackets! Go Dawgs!  I am a Kindergarten Paraprofessional for an elementary school.  I have been in education for 16 years (Montessori for 8 and public for 8).  I love my job!!!!  

 

I first heard about Box of Balloons on Facebook from my friend, Kim Stapleton's, post.  I had never heard of it before and after learning more, I had to get involved.  Shortly after, while talking with Kim, she asked if I would join her in co-leading the Cumming Chapter and I immediately said yes! We are now in our third year!  Being an adopted child, my heart goes out to children in circumstances beyond their control because I know that could have very easily been me.  Even though we are not able to meet the children in person because of confidentiality, we have contact with the social workers and organization directors that keep us posted on how overwhelmed the children and their parents are when they receive their boxes.  Every child truly deserves to be celebrated on their birthday!!!   It has been an honor to be able to provide a special day for them!
